I wanted to get "the cousins" together at least once while we were in Utah so they could play so we decided to meet at This Is The Place Park. My mom has a membership there also so we were able to just go and enjoy the day. Ruby was soooo excited to be with her cousins!
But we're starting into the two full throttle around here so when she was "churning butter" and informed Isaac that is was "mine!!!" he was a little heartbroken. Apparently Isaac and Ben didn't get the memo that only Ruby got a turn with that.
I thought Ruby would love the animals because she had had so much fun at Bear World, but she wasn't all that interested. And she cried when we tried to make her ride the horses. Truthfully, she would have been fine, but at that same moment, Zachary decided to totally lose it. He had been fussing the whole time, but I thought he was just tired. Now, I'm pretty sure his thrush was hurting him. He'd finished his first antibiotic a few days before, but we ended up having to get a stronger one and this day he really wasn't loving life. Anyway, the other kids had fun and looked so darling riding horses!
Ruby loved playing in the pretend little houses/shops/trains...
And she especially loved the splash pad with Grandma! She still talks about it all the time and asks me if Grandma is going to be at our local splash pad whenever we go.
Just observing:

All things considered, it was definitely a day well spent.
Thank you, Hayley, Kaylin, and Mom for making it work! Can't wait for our next cousin playdate!
