Lifes a Beach

What is it about sand and sunshine that is so addicting?

We love Bear Lake.  We especially love Bear Lake when we go there with our Ence family.  Although we do mix up our Ence family vacations, this is our go-to spot and there are definitely no complaints coming from our little family!

These kiddos were pretty happy travelers most of the time.

Ruby was killing me as we were getting ready for our first day of beaching it.  She was walking around with these sassy hands on her hips and so I tried to make her pose for a picture, but it just doesn't do the real life thing justice.  This girl is getting more and more grown up (and so much more sassy!) right before our eyes.

Zachary was pretty excited to go to the beach too.  We told him he would like it and he is young enough that he totally just believed us.  Love this kid.

And then it began...

Sand and toys and drip castles and aunties and water and snuggles and beach food and paddle boards and tubes and bird chasing and jet skiing (not pictured) and just way too much fun!

So we took a break a did some other fun stuff...

Let the record show I am NOT a mountain biker
nor do I have any desire to be.  Now we know.
And then we hit the beach again...

We might have worn the kids out.  We might have had a meltdown that was out of this world crazy when it was time to take a bath and go to bed the last night.  We might have all been beyond exhausted after back to back trips and not enough naps and late nights and playing all day every day.

But we survived the kicking and screaming and ended the trip with a great big smile on our faces!  One of our favorite things about Ruby during our visit to Utah (and actually since we've been home) is that everytime we'd get in the car after doing something she would ask Parker and I "a fun?" (translation: "was that fun?")  We always respond the same way, "that was fun!  What did you like?" and it was always great to hear her tell us what her favorite part was.  Or at least the part that she was remembering in that moment.

Life is good.  So grateful we were able to get away with our wonderful family we love so much.
