Quaplet

We had one morning when we were back from Driggs before we left to Bear Lake with Ences. Fortunately for me, these beautiful ladies were able to make it work so we could visit over breakfast.

Meet the quaplet.  (Sort like quadruplets, get it?  Nevermind, It's a long story...)  These three girls have been my friends for a long time, but in ninth grade they became my best friends.  I feel like friends at that age are so critical.  They help shape us into the people we become for the rest of our lives.

How blessed I am that these women are so incredible.  With some luck, some of their goodness has rubbed off on me a bit.  It has been ten years since we "graduated" Jr. High.

So I guess this was sorta like our ten year reunion.  It's crazy where we all are.  Jessica married her High School sweetheart and they own the cutest little home in the avenues.  She's halfway through Pharmacy School at the U and just as goal oriented as she's always been.  Brooke has learned multiple languages, lived in France and Africa, served a mission in France (not to be confused with the living before), been in leadership up at Utah State, and is now off somewhere in Peru doing who knows what.  Sara graduated from the U in no time flat- even with her voyage to London in between.  She married into one of the best families and has the sweetest two kids.  She and her husband own a perfect little duplex- with a perfect little yard!- in East Millcreek.  We've all done quite different things, obviously, but I think we've all done alright.

We had to take this picture-- this is how we always used to take pictures in ninth grade.  But wayyyy back then there wasn't a name for it.  We didn't know we were taking "selfies."

Now we know.  Funny how time changes things.  So grateful for the things- and for the friendships- that don't change over time.
